Poor little Daisy Pearl. One never knows what mom will dream up when Spring rolls around. As the weather warms, I’m seized with all things related to the garden and getting outdoors again after winter finally frees us from her snowy grip. I’ve been in a flower frenzy, hurrying outdoors in my robe & slippers early each morning to see how the daffodils and tulips are blooming, filling the bird feeders so the early ones will find breakfast waiting.
Yesterday, I decided our new litter of Cavachon babies were fluffy enough to do their pictures. I always try to capture each puppy and his or her personality and adding inspiration from the garden seemed to be just perfect for these little bundles. I had found the cutest little blue bow for Daisy Pearl and had been saving it for her photo, I knew she’d be enchanted.
Cavachons are such wonderful dogs, they are such people pleasers, and sweet baby girl did her best to pose for me (just a bit reluctantly) with that embarassingly silly bow still between her ears. I promised her if she could just be pretty girl for a few minutes we’d go outdoors and play. (Remember, bribery is an important tool when training puppies).
I snapped a half dozen photos, trying not to laugh at her woebegon experession. Then things began to look up and the bow slid off onto her paws. Suddenly all was puppy sunshine again, and little miss could get down the to more important business of exploring and tasting of hair bows!
After much tasting and sorting through mom’s goodies, off we went as promised, outside to get down the important business of puppy playtime!
Daisy Pearl say’s she couldn’t agree more.
